Church is home

Inside every one of us is a God-shaped hole. God has placed eternity in the hearts of men and women, young and old. God intended each of us to be in a community with a home and purpose.

Why not come and find your purpose?

Why not come home?

New to church?

Are wondering what happens behind the big oak doors of a church? Well, nothing that should stop you from entering! What you will discover is that thin space, where earth meets heaven, where the presence of God can be felt at the altar. You will also find a group of people that love other people and love God…

Luminate

Throughout 2023 Canon Phil will be unpacking what it means for the Church and for you to Luminate!

Luminate means to “light up”. The Church is to be a beacon of hope, you too can be a beacon of hope.

Why not come and listen on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am?

St James the Greater Old Hill is a welcoming church in the Wesleyan tradition.
Located near Dudley in the Heart of the Black Country in the centre of England…

St James’ has a rich heritage. Established in the 19th century and now has a modern, welcoming building for weddings, baptisms and funerals.

The worshipping community at St James serves Old Hill and the surrounding areas of Cradley Heath, Halesowen and Dudley and further afield.

Both the Wesley brothers (John and Charles) and George Whitfield – the founders of Methodism, remained Anglican Clergymen until their work on earth was complete. Our minister Canon Phil is also an Anglican priest.

Why not come and have a coffee on a Saturday morning?? You would be most welcome!!
